KAJAL GUJAR

Born and raised amidst the vibrant city of Mumbai, Kajal Gujar's journey into the world of perfumery began with a foundation in science. After completing her Pharmacy degree, she pursued a dual masters in European Fragrance and Cosmetic (EFCM) and master’s in business management (MBM) at ISIPCA in France. Her passion for perfumes came to life when she joined ISIPCA, her theatre of inspiration. A serendipitous discovery that began on her first day in the lab, where the raw materials became her playground. It was here she realized that fragrances hold the magical power to evoke memories and emotions.

She started her professional journey with Firmenich (now dsm-firmenich) in 2014 as an Assistant Fragrance Development Manager. Her passion and talent quickly propelled her to the role of Fragrance Development Manager by 2016. In 2018, she embarked on an immersive journey at the Firmenich Perfumery School in Geneva for three years followed by fine fragrance training in Paris. By 2021, she had moved to Singapore, fully embracing her role as a perfumer by September 2022.

Throughout her training, Kajal was mentored by most talented perfumers, who entrusted her with key projects and many of which became commercial successes. The thrill of seeing her creations on store shelves was an experience that reinforced her belief in the transformative power of fragrance. As a versatile perfumer, Kajal has crafted consumer care products, and fine fragrances that have resonated across multiple countries.

For Kajal, perfumery is a universe of endless creative possibilities. At dsm-firmenich, she learned to transform her imagination into reality. Her dream is to make a positive impact on consumer well-being and to live an iconic fragrance legacy!
